The Wabash County Historical Society is a separate organization from the Wabash County Museum but its information is hosted on this site because of the mutually held values of pereservation of history and community and family pride.

WCHS Newsletter is published quarterly (February, May, August and November) and is 8 pages of historical and genealogical informaiton from Wabash County. Articles cover the ABCS in each newsletter: Agriculture, farming or 4-H, Business, Churches and School and Students.Editor Nancy Rayborn gleans newspaper microfilm, searches past publications and solicits contributions about the past to make an interesting newsletter. Membership
Annual dues for the Wabash County Historical Society are $20.00 and may be mailed to P. O. Box 911, Mt. Carmel, IL 62863. All members receive the newsletter mailed to the address of their choice. A lifetime membership is $150.00
