Charter survived cyclone

This Ancient Free and Accepted Mason's Charter, dated 1857 was blown into Gibson County, Indiana by the cyclone of 1877 and was found and returned to the Mt. Carmel lodge.

lay Robes

These elegant robes are from organizations within Masons. On the left is a DeMolay cape and the other items are from the York Rite. Notice the crown and scepter on the table. York Rite is the oldest of all Masonry dating back 400 years before Christ to the time of Noah.

Shriners at Knell Hall

The panoramic photo in the Shriners display features Shriners from Ainad Temple in front of Knell Hall, on Market Street, labeled Pilgrimage Dec 4, 1919, 110 novices.

This Shriners go-cart, used in area parades, is loaned by Terry Onyett. He wears the red satin jacket and his fez while driving the car in formation with other Shriners. This is one way of raising money and publicizing the Shriner's Hospitals for Crippled Children.
