Women's Club

This display honors Mrs. Mary Goddard, an early president of the Women's Club, organized in 1938.

Women's Christian Temperance Union

The Women's Christian Temperance Union was instrumental in getting the Prohibition Amendment passed and drew attention to the problems of drunkeness and public intoxication. Carrie Nation was one of their well known leaders. Notice this paper ruler, no doubt targeting school children with the tea-totaling message.

Abstinence is a good rule. (Women's Christian Temperance Union ruler)
