The bodice of the riding costume closes with hooks and eyes and would have very difficult to put on without assistance. It has a cumberbund and mock cape over the shoulders. The lace blouse is also a false effect since this is a one-piece bodice.
Both these garments have shaped sleeves. The silk frock has the fabric cut on the curve. Each has an inner and outer sleeve. The silk frock uses lace while the riding costume uses the same fabric.
